This is my 33 ford 4 door I purchased in Nov of 1982. I was living in the CA north bay at the time. The car was located in Green Valley which is just south of Fairfield. A buddy of mine knew I was looking for one and an aquaintence of his had this sitting in his mom's garage. The firewall had been torched out and the X member had been removed and replaced by some caveman type cross members. I found a good cowl section at Turlock along with an X member. The repairs were made along with boxing the frame. I used a 62 Tempest front suspension that was narrowed 4'', Mustang II rack and min 80's Vette calipers & rotors, 8'' Maverick rear, 400 SBC and TH350. The ONLY body work that has been done is a filled roof everything else is undamaged original. The fenders have a few small places that need smoothed but the body and doors are absolutely perfect. Also got an extra grille that is as nice as the one on the car. I have the original steering column lock and keys. There is still part of the leather key fob remaining. I can make out that it's from the Ford dealer on Broadway Ave. in Oa kland, CA so I am pretty sure this car was bought new there and remained in the Bay area all these years until I moved to central WA in 1990. I just got it driveable about 4 or 5 years ago. It's licensed and I put about 500 to 1000 miles a year during the warmer months. For now I just drive it as is while my attention is on another project. I also have a 32 Olds sedan project, a 66 Nova wagon project and a finished 66 Nova coupe. I have owned the 33 longer than the others.
I can't remember what I did with the original column. I am sure I sold it but kept the lock assembly. It's sitting on a shelf in my "cave".
The pics really don't do it justice. The body on this thing is unbelievable. The doors are absolutely perfect, no dings or rust anywhere. Same with the hood and side panels.
Thought I would post some more pics of this piece of tin. I found these pics while looking for another that I posted in the Iron Duke thread.
