Try The Filling Station or Chatty Chassis?

I didn't find it on the Filling Station site meaning that it may indeed be hard to find. If it exists at all for vintage Chevy they usually show it.
Chevs of the 40's usually only goes back though 37.

If deathrow doesn't have it I might. I have a wooden box/drawer with a bunch of springs like that.

Just search for door latch spring on E-Bay and compare the other [good] door with above to determine what you exactly require. I bought all new (Repops) from Filling Station of Chevs of the 40s some time ago now, can't recall which one, as all mine were broken in my 46 GM.
