Thanks for those shots brigrat. The Flirtn' with Disaster car was bad ass. Most probably know it was the old Brasher & Cummings car. There's just something nasty about a chopped 33 Willys from the rear. They just have a bad ass wedge shape. I'd like to find out more about those 2 unchopped 33's as well. They look like they were top notch cars.

    Here's a few more 33's.

Here's an old article I found on Allan Knutsen's car from Car Craft Jan, 68. Sorry, but the color image I suspect was on the opposite page is long gone. Judging by the article, I guess even back then a good steel coupe was hard to find.

Here's one I always wanted to find out more about. Gary Densham ran this car in late 67 thru early 68. Then apparently sold it to someone in the Northeast or maybe Ontario. The last picture here shows the same car at Cayuga Dragway without the lettering. It's got to be the same car. It has the same suspension, same injector, same stance, etc... Anyone have any more pics of this car? I'd love to find some detail shots of the engine and suspension.

Thanks to everyone that's replied so far. I appreciate the responses. I hope more people will contribute and maybe turn up some other rare photos or cars that have never gotten much publicity. I'm sure they're out there. I'd also love to see any project pictures anyone has of their model 77 cars, whether finished or not. It all keeps the creative juices flowing, and I'm always looking for ideas on how to build my own car.

    Hey WILLYSRULE,
One of the cars you inquired about that you posted is the
Ellison and Mcgarvey 33 Willys for Mass. This was a flip top body,
almost a copy of the Prock and Howell car. It had a blown stroked
early hemi and would run in the 8's.Ran in the late 60's. It crashed
on opening day at Conn.Dragway,'71. I bought it, sold it back 24 years later and Bob Ellison ran it for a few more years. Unfortunately he succumbed to injuries a week after crashing the car at Goodguys Indy in 2006. Ironically, he had run Prock and Howell on that race. This was one wild car we used to watch.

Here's John Foust's car out of Pennsylvania. He's a real craftsman. He built just about the entire car him self, and did all the paint work. Watch out when he gets this thing dialed in.

Now if only I could get my hands on a 33-36 coupe!

Yes, this is Kents old car! When I bought it off of Ebay for $3800.00 in 2004 it was a real mess. Kent had laid the window back and would have had to stretch the front door 4 to 6 inches. But he did not lay the window back far enough. The belt line was off by 2 to 3 inches. He said he did not have a clue what he was doing when he did it and it showed. He also sucked the roof together a few inches. I bought a four door out of Canada and cut it just behind the door and put the two together. The chop came to 4 1/4 inches to meet what the back was chopped too. After chopping the front and the doors I decided that I was not surre if I could fix the back half and fill the roof to make it look right. So I took it to Al Swedberg in Centralia Wa., which is just down the road from me. He fixed the roof, back window, made me a metal trunk and rear fenders for it. Al and his employee Brett, did a great job on it. Now I am either going to build myself a chassis or have a chassis built for it. I was going to have Bill Fitting build me one but things kind of slowed down some for me, so I held off on it. I am on the fence on when and how soon that will happen. I am pretty sure at this time that I am going to have someone else build the chassis though. I picked up a complete metal frontend for it, here over the passed couple years. The only thing I would like to have is a original grill instead of the case aluminum grill I have. Some day maybe. I also have picked up a set of 16x13 Halibrands for the rear and a set of american racing 15x4 5 spoke magnesium bolt ons front rims.

Here is my little helper with the rear rims!

I also picked up a set of these aluminum rims for the front if I decide to run then instead of the 5 spokes.

I have tons of pictures from Als shop. I went down there quite a bit and took pictures. I wish I could find the picture of the car when i first got it, But I am not sure where they are. I think they are on some floppy disc I have. But for some reason they will not work anymore?
Here are some more pictures and if you go to here I just put 52 more on. http://s259.photobucket.com/home/angliagasser

I did not want anyone to think this is a glass car, so I removed the molded on rear fenders and had a set made out of metal.

  29. That's what bad ass is made of my friend. I wish I had the tools you have to do the same repairs. What do you do when you're not making new panels from scratch?
