The wheels came back on Saturday, so I got them on the car and set it back down on the ground. The column tube, drop, shifter and steering wheel came back Saturday too. After installing those parts, I worked on a bunch of small detail parts - throttle rod linkage, and choke rod.

Today, I seated all of the hinge pins and hung the decklid. After that, I fired the car up, and drove it out of the garage (first time under it's own power), so that was definitely exciting.

I'd be hard pressed not to start driving it everywhere at this point. Looks great.

Don't tell me you only drove it out of the garage!

You have way more self-control than I would have if I was at that point in my build.

Cory, you have raised the level of what is a super nice roadster! If I parked next to you my car would need a cover over it.

    Super job, Bob

    A quick update....

I assembled the hood hardware to the hood sides with some smooth head machine screws. After that, I got the hinge rods installed and hung the hood. Surprisingly, it fit great on the first try.

The guy that painted the car came by tonight and glazed the car also. It's coming together nicely.....just need to finish the tonneau cover that'll be on the car for Detroit Autorama.
