I think Enzo drove for Fiat then. Didn't see the video but it prolly has the Scuderia/Ferrari emblem on it, huh?
True, but there were a team of Scuderia Ferrari Alfa Romeos which sported the famous prancing horse crest. Kurt O.
Scuderia Ferrari = Ferrari racing team. Yes Enzo did drive for Alfa,Maserati etc but didn't sell his first car( bearing his name) until 1948.

Neat car, though it probably handles like crap. I don't know if Alain's claim can be supported as the "First Ferrari", but I guess I can understand what he is talking about. It really is a Special built with Alfa bits. Always a fan of the Maserati cars, I must say they are beautiful things. Best, MRAK
Victory by Design is avail on DVD as a box set, or individually. Mrs. Choptop bough me the set for my birthday. Jah I love her.
I think the rationale behind claiming it's the first Ferrari is defendable...at least as defendable as the AAC 815's claim is. -Car was conceived and built not at Portello but at the Scuderia. -Car has a Scuderia Ferrari chassis number (SF 48) only, there is no Alfa Tipo B chassis number on it. -Coachwork bears little (if any) resemblance to any contemporary Alfa. Forever and ever, people have been trying to pinpoint cars (Alfas, mostly) that were "Ferraris" before there was actually a Ferrari brand. That debate is basically academic, as the first Ferrari in name or otherwise is the 125, given that it is the first car with a Ferrari engine. That said, there's documentation going back as far as 1933 of Alfas with SF chassis numbers, (SF 24) and there's evidence that there may have been cars that were built up by the Scuderia two years earlier than that. Mercmad, Thanks for posting the sketch of Ferrari 002, it is totaly restored AND raced buy the current owner. Years ago I got to see it and 004 side by side in a body shop on Long Island, so long ago I think 25-30 grand would have bought BOTH.
Can you imagine driving that beast at 200MPH? I guess Nulvolari was just the sumbitch to horse it around.
