I started building this car a few years ago and I honestly can’t remember if I started a thread on it or not??? I’ll start with some chassis build shots and end up with me picking the car up today from the shop where it was for the last 5 years to get chopped. I only have a few early photos. I had Clarks in Florida build me a perimeter chassis and since my goal was to be quite low(I’ve had to raise it cuz I got a little too excited) so I kicked the rear swapped the wishbone ends around, spring behind the front and tons of other things. Here’s the body I started with. Really nice and it has a lot of sedan inner steel replacing the wood. FLiP

I wanted to do a little Doane Spencer inspired exhaust for years and I figure this car would be perfect for it……a shit pile of work but I’m happy with the outcome. FLiP
This is when I got it rolling for the first time. Just getting ready to drop the body on for the first time and see what I’m working with. A few things have changed since these pics and honestly a few more will change in the future as I get back on this build. FLiP
Getting the steering box figured out and getting the chopped radiator in its spot. This was the last stuff I did before dropping the car off for the chop…….and that was about 5yrs ago. Now that I’ve looked at the car again I’m going to have to move the motor forward a 1/2” and like I said a bunch of fine tuning is in my future. FLiP
I’ve always liked cartoon proportions with a heavy lakes style influence, I definitely think I’ve got a style and a look that I go for……what do you guys think?? lots more to do and a few things to redo. See y’all soon with updates. FLiP
What an awesome Companion for the Roadster @DeadFast 33...it looks all Hotrod to me with many well thought out details utilizing past excellence for many such as that trick exhaust...what's not to like...one popular expression around here is Bitchin!! You mentioned moving the engine ahead a 1/2". How do you do that with a closed drive line? Just wondering.

I’m following along on this one. You won’t have to worry about seeing another one like it at a show. Fantastic work
