You know, CanAm cars didn't have roofs.

    I'm just sayin' . . .

Can Am cars were some of the most spectacular looking road racers ever. I will second CoolHand's idea. The 32 recreation really is incredible, have you ever thought about taking one of those "on line beginners guides to metal shaping courses"? LOL.

What talent. Thanks so much for sharing the process and good luck with the sale.

    frankinplymouth,

Thank you for the detailed pic's. It sure took the mystery out of metal work. Lots of skill and an enormous amount of patience.

It's just like eating an elephant, one bite at a time! ;)

How did I not see this!! Love post like this. I would love to find the time to try something the same. Great work. This post was very interesting and it gave me some cool ideas. How did you make the lower rear quarter section where the belt lines meet??

....gona take a lot to finish it (the body) from there....woulda liked to seen more use of the bead roller ...coulda made a BIG difference to the amount of welding and grinding needed...and less risk of warping all your good work shaping up those panels... having said that ...its still a good effort. Makin something from scratch ain't easy...

If I had to choose between owning a body Henry made, a Brookville, or this one I'd opt for the hand made one produce by the man in Oregon.
