Nothing hanging down. You could tone down those bright yellow shocks. Brand new exhaust and gas tank and gauges and tires. Fun to drive. Anybody want to trade a convertible of some sort? I've had several 4 door convertibles and cabriolets. This sedan delivery is ready to hit the road. Come take a look. Call Al at 757-334-5618 with any questions or offers of cash or trade. Thanks for looking.
Apologies for not stating that it is chopped!! I'll keep an eye out for my notes on just how much. Ready to ride. Thanks for looking.
It is chopped 3.5" in rear and 3" at the front posts. Rear door conversion was done very well using metal framing and metal jambs for rear door to look factory; including using original Ford hinges. The roof insert is from a Ford van. TCI front end with 4" dropped I beam; 1" GM disc brakes. Power disc brakes. New Edelbrock 600 carb with electric choke. Walker radiator. 3.08 rear gear. Sanderson Laker headers. Call for more details. Thanks.
The car got two pages of coverage in the book, "Great American Hot Rods" by Keith Harman. It is a hefty book with many great American hot rods. It had a bit more green and whitewalls in those days but it was being driven!
Come get this thing now that can leave the garage!! Come for test drive anyway... you got to get out!! I don't care... we can go for some ice cream!! I'll buy ice cream... if you buy car!!
Heck, I'll buy ice cream if don't buy the car! See it you will buy it... such a deal I make for you!! Make me an offer if don't agree with my price... you still get to talk with a nice guy whether you get the car or not. Thanks for looking
Pleased to report that interest in the car is up AND I've even got one offer involving ice cream!! I wanted more green and he offered more lime sherbert! Cash, and ice cream, talks!! You can drive it home. New tires, new battery, new alignment, new gauges, and even a new gas tank! I did leave the green on the FORD on the hubcaps... just in case I got an Irish buyer! Of course, we that CAN be changed. Y'all be cool... it is hot here!!
When I delivered large tub of Deep Dish Apple Pie ice cream to the Isle of Wight Volunteer Rescue Squad last year. Waiting for more to come in so can repeat the process!! Thanks for looking, Al
btt All talk "buyers"... why do they tell you they are a "buyer?" Seems like sure sign they ain't! If you like the little Ford and call and decide to buy it; I'll figure out you are a buyer! This one is fun to drive and gets lots of attention... if I could take it somewhere!! It missed the trip to Charlotte, and York, and ... Opportunities!! Please forgive the rant... just cabin fever!!
Overseas guy interested but how does he know I'm legit? Heck, how do we know anybody is legit?! I'm sending pictures and offering for him to have someone come see it. Might work out. Very professional in his inquiries. We'll see.
btt Sanderson headers had spots of light rust. Removed, sanded thoroughly, primed and repainted with 1500 degree paint. Just tweaking the appearance and making it even more ready for the road... and car shows!! Dang I wish we could!! The good news is a few spots are starting to come back to life.
fellow in TX wants to see it I told him to, "Come on down!" PS so I brought to top so he can find it.
