The last picture I like best but you choose it's your car.

  4. The painted steelies look more traditional.

  9. You have both, alternate them, as desired. Both are cool. I think you could use more tire rake, with the steelies.

  10. I think the painted makes the car.

    Both look great.

  13. Had he showed the honest to goodness real deal knock off kidney bean wheels I would have agree with you but they ain't Kidney beans like you posted, the salt flat style wheel just doesn't trump the steelies in my opinion. HRP

Thanks for the input. Those salt flat wheels have been sitting in the shop for over 6 years. They’re a serial number billet speciality wheel (#13) of 100 sets produced in memory of Barry Lobeck. That’s a lobeck built car that we’ve had for about 10 years and I decided the other day to install them and we had some discussion about what looks better so I thought what better way to get some input than post it on Hamb. Thanks

  15. Well, that makes the wheels even cooler. Lobeck built some neat stuff.

What a beautiful five window. It looks so good with both sets of wheels. But I have a slight preference for the first picture setup.

I'm more of a big/little tire/wheel guy so I think some wider rear tires would be more pleasing to my eyes.

Five window wheels on a '32 Five Window look just fine to me. I like their 1950's Indy Car look. Bob

Both, switch them out as your mood changes. Like to see more of the 40 lurking in the rear also.;)

The kidney bean alloys look much better with the radial tyres.

The steels with those hub caps and the beauty rings just look odd with the radials........IMHO.

Loose the hub caps and fit cross-plies to the steelies and it would be a different matter.

with the radials I would probably choose to go with the Salt Flats. If I were to go with the painted wheels I would switch to Bias tires. Just me

Both are neat, but the steelies have the edge.
