I used a piece of angled steel that I drilled and tapped and put it between the body and gas tank. I didn't want to drill any holes in the outer body panels.
Mines a 34 but it is 32 influenced, here is how I did it. I used after market front license plate spreader bar brackets, enlarged the holes on the mill to fit the rear spreader, built a stainless steel mounting plate that also holds the Lucas reverse and plate marker lights, took a Bell Auto Parts frame, cut about an inch or so out of the sides to fit my 34 Washington tag, welded it up, polished it back out and mounted it with threaded rods and acorns. a lot of work and customization that the majority of people will miss and put it off as store bought. Let them try to replicate it.
Here's an "original" idea ! Credit for this goes to ' Kiwi 4d ' here on the HAMB. He did this on his '32 3 window Probably the best way I've seen for a stock height car, really looks just right.
Here is an upside down version of the first one.... So the bolt doesn't show I would tap the spreader bar.
