Do you guys know where I can find a new info tag to put on my firewall? You know the one I see on 32's fords passenger side. I searched but found nuthin. Thanks,
Dennis Carpenter reproductions sells one with the serial number space at the top, patent numbers and Ford logo below.
the metal firewall tag has nothing to do with the serial no. It was a patent number tag. Most any old Ford parts supplier should have it along with the rivets that hold it on. At least they used to.
I am under the impression that all that is on that plate is patent data and the serial number is only on the bell housing and the frame.
The factory only used patent plates, but it's not a bad idea to get one that you can have a serial number put on it.
The serial number should be plainly visible on the top of your left frame rail. Adding it to the plate will just cause confusion. Charlie Stephens

What confusion? Buy the tag at Macs then put it on the firewall, dont stamp it have the numbers engraved, the stamps distort the tag itself.
