Has anyone seen anything like it? Looking forward to working on it, will have to wait for a while before I finish the project I’m working on now. I think it’s pretty unique with the second axle on it. Anyone out here seen anything like it?

I’ve never seen that old of a truck have that axle set up, but we referred to the second axle as a “Tag axle”.

I love that truck......especially the tandem axle set up. In my days of hunting old trucks out West, I have never seen one with a tandem set up like that......that was a serious hauler. Keep us in the loop.
I made a mistake.....I looked at the pictures again.....someone called it a tag axle which is correct because it is not driven from the axle in front of it.....I called it a tandem which it would be if it received power from the axle in front of it.

'33 front axle and '34 full floating rear axle with a bigger bolt pattern on the Budd 5 lug. Tag axle has the small bolt pattern of the '33.

    Here's my (late dad's) '33 with a 283 Chevy for power.
