You just gotta love a gasser Vicki.

This build is already an inspiration to all budding gasser builders.

Thanks for sharing your build with us.

about this time I stumbled on another 392 HEMI for cheap and Tony came over to help tear it down. Its rough but the bearings looked great! upload 1-15-16 695.JPG

Maybe it's the lack of backing plates, but the hubs look odd. Bob

A Victoria GASSER will be a wicked ride! Speaking of 392 HEMI'S... I know someone personally who has one of these in his garage - would look AWESOME in your Vicky, built strong and ready for a blower...

Screenshot_2016-03-27-09-39-43.png Ok moving right along. Now that the frame is ridiculus stiff its time to reset the body. For those unfamiliar with the Victoria these cars were unique among the model As. They were kinda of a transition car. They were the first to have flush fit doors like the 32s. Also they had the slanted A pillars and a factory chop and longer doors but the biggest difference is the floor. Other model As have a metal subrail with wood boards for a floor. The Victoria has WOOD subrails with metal pans in the middle! Thats right WOOD subrails! The whole body is tack nailed to the wood and the wood is bolted to the frame. It only makes sense from a cost standpoint because back then wood was cheap. Now this combo is great for 35hp and 35mph. Not so great for 700+hp and 130mph. So out it comes! Tonys in there helping get it free, thanks man!

Screenshot_2016-03-27-09-39-08.png With the hoist swinging the body over the frame the head scratching begins. How to build a floor? Hmmmm. Notice theres nothing under the doors. Only the door latches and roof are holding the car together

20160202_135021.jpg While shes swinging its a perfect time to patch the cowl seeing how i havent got a clue where to start on the floor. Lets fix this. Progress is good
