    putting together a 31 brookville body . heres how it goes .

    its in there somewhere

    they were nice and assembled the cowl for me

    mmmm fresh metal

    subframe on wood blocks and bolted down . floors pans screwed in ready for rivets

    door 1 hung . gaps addressed .

    a real nice fit

    she needs love

    mucho bettero

    nice gap on the door to quarter as well .will need finesse once its solid

    We put together one of these Brookville jig saw puzzles, a rpu body. It does take some head scratching at times.

    Yours is coming along nicely.

    Thanks everyone . Def not as easy as it looks in pictures .

    No it is not the frame it will be used on . I build off of my frame which is 100 percent square and level .

    Properly shimmed body requires no downward force on the door keeping nice gaps up front .

    Looks like you got a great shop there and pumping out some cars, the detail work is the proof of a master car builder. Anyone can hack, tack and hide with Bondo, you are to be commended on your skill.

    If you were to repair a wheel well in a quarter would you assemble it first or repair it separately? Great work by the way.

    Is there a seam sealer in between the lower deck lid panel and the quarters? Or, just metal to metal bolted together?
