Hay guys I need to know the normal op temp of a 31 ford 4 banger motor. This thing has a hi comp. head, reds header, webber carb, new water pump. I drove it today it got up to 210 it was not steeming or seem to be running hot. Just need to know thanks I've looked but could not find out thanks for your help.
My guess based on what I have read is about 160 without a thermostat. If you were running 210 it would boil over when you stopped. I think you gauge is wrong. Charlie Stephens
Location looks good. Hot from the motor and before the radiator. Borrow your wife's candy or meat thermometer and check your temp. Charlie Stephens
