Four years ago, I bought a 29 roadster body locally to someday build. I ended up passing it along to my friend Rick who had been looking for a roadster to build and he and I set out to build a 32 frame for it. Rick decided on using a 455 Buick engine, and a pair of American stamping rails with stock dimensions and a 32 tank. After completing the chassis, Rick asked my father and I to stitch the body together and piece together a floor structure and build a dash and firewall. He decided to go with a Hallock style windshield which is making it difficult to come up with ideas for what to do for a dash.
We trimmed the rear corners of the body to clear the 32 tank and cut and rebent the edge of the rear panel. Since 29's don't have a body line along the bottom, it's pretty easy to do and this gives you a gas tank that allows a fully functional rumble seat.
