Projects 1929 Model A Two Door Conversion

  2. Yeah I would say it probably did add a little weight, but not much. I used .095 wall tubing instead of the .120 frame thickness. It is more for looks, I also think that it adds some torsional rigidity to the frame. But as you stated the purpose of "lightening" is defeated by sleeving the holes

    Got the posi trac installed over the weekend and rebuilt the drums. Finish welded the frame and rear end. Should be ready to start getting the body on the frame this weekend

  9. Big block chevy, the radiator and shell will be going in between the motor and crossmember so I had to leave the extra room.

    Be sure to set the visor at an angle you like, Ford leaded them in on the Fordor. Bob

    no even then it was pretty well had, $50.00 I paid, had lot more fun for the mun. lol

    I always think " where did all the old cars go" I thought they would always be around....
