Since the sell of my 32' Sedan I've been thinking of that I wanted to build next. I have always loved the look of a 28' roadster on a 32' frame, done like they would have done it back in the late 40's. So that's what I've decided to do.

I ordered a 28' roadster body from brookville and I will be picking it up at the LA Roadster Show. I will also be running a 32' grill shell and a full hood.

I've also been collecting parts for the build:

*I will be using a set of JW Rod Garage 32' rails.
*Up front i'm using an original model a crossmember, an original 32' axle and perches, an original 32' wishbone that I will be putting back to stock unsplit.
    *I'm using an original 32' k member.
*I ordered a set of rear legs from Industrial Chassis. They bolt to the back of the k member and bolt to the rear fender holes. It should strengthen the rear of the frame a lot.
*And I'm using an original model a rear crossmember with a model t rear spring, and a 36' banjo.
*I will be using my flathead engine that was in my 32' sedan, and the t5 transmission.
*And also I will be running a set of 35' 16" wire wheels front and back with dirt track tires up front and 750 firestones in the back.

Here is what I have mocked up so far.

Still in the process of collecting parts. I'm having a buddy of mine machine a new 8ba block I had to put all the internal parts from my old flathead into. So that's exciting. I'm waiting to go any further on the frame till I get the body at the LA roadster show. Once I get that then I can finalize a lot of things without any guess work.

I really haven't had much time to do anything on my car, too much customer work. :) But I did mock the new body up on the frame with the new wheels for my open house.

Are you going to rivet the frame?

I want the frame to look as close to an original as possible. So I plan on putting on every detail I can. I will probably weld the cross-members in from the inside of the frame, then weld in rivets so it looks riveted, but has the benefit of complete welding.
