Thats it for tonight. More great stuff for tomorrow I think. it was all gas welded and the seams are all visible, original paperwork from Cragar on the blower kit for your 471, original papers on the dual coil flame thrower ignition... it just gets better but you got the gist of it now. it is all REAL got the pics to prove it ! ( and it's in my secret garage too )

    Cheers!

Seems so strange that the owner would be selling all of that....as he still looks in good shape and spirits..

My favorite pieces are those Rader wheels

Congratulations on the awesome find! Like others have said, I would love to hear the back story on the car and original owner and how you came to find it.

    It's more pictures time!
It has old homemade gas welded headers, looks like he cut the left side down and put it on the right and never got to the other one.

Very nice Spalding flamethrower dual coil ignition with original instructions, if anyone here needs the instructions, i'll scan them and send.

along with a Sun tach and 4 cylinder controller, the dual coil ignition is two seperate 4 cylinder ignitions in one so you use a 4 cylinder tach. Learning cool stuff daily here !

An assortment of old SW gauges including one for the blower boost! I've never seen that one before.

    Cool old foot feed !

Early corvette steering box n column. I'm hoping that I can get block hugger headers to fit without too much trouble.
I pulled the spark plugs, put oil in cylinders and turned the motor a few times by hand, seems very nice.

My plan at the moment is to fire the engine mostly just for fun, then sadly I have to go back to other projects before I can get deeper into this one. i am not sure about direction here, return to period track car? or period street? maybe something in between...there is time to think about all that. I am hoping that Carl comes up with more pictures from days gone by.

There is a master cylinder and clutch master mounted inside, an old clutch slave and a plate where it was to be mounted, that should all be pretty easy to get working, then I could at least drive it around a little, way better than pushing....the spiders are welded in the rear...

The wheels sadly have no center caps, i guess they were sold seperatly then too. I have one old original M/T spinner cap but it is too cruddy to put on NOS wheels. I refuse to put new Rocket ones on. I will be searching for nice M/T ones.

    Update for this afternoon!

    Cheers!

What's more bad ass than bad ass? Badasseryness? Killer find, and way to close the deal. Too often it's find but can't acquire.
