Brent, Love the finish on the intake and driveshaft ! I want to use nickle finish on my "A" Coupe. Looks like you sre coming down to the finish of your T Roadster. It sure looks good.

Thanks, Dave. I've got one more part coming from BCChopit (Bill) in CT. I'll get that polished and send all the stuff out together to plated.

I went for a run today and I started making a mental list of all the things I need to do. MAN... I started feeling overwhelmed. I've got a lot of plans for things like the interior, but I've never done something like hand sewing leather. So, when I start overwhelming myself, I just remind myself that I've got to be patient and there's plenty of places for me to get info to help me along.

Thanks a bunch. I appreciate it and agree... although I think I'd look goofy (okay A LOT goofy) with a leather cap. :D

Brent , If you go with the leather helmet you really need to geta silk scarf to be streaming out behind you when you are out cruising in your roadster.

Have fun finishing the roadster up.

Got a micro-update. Bill, BCChopit on the HAMB, made this custom water inlet for me since a stocker isn't going to do the job. I just got it in the mail and had to post it up. Sorry for the low quality photo, it's a cell phone pic.

Because of the different angles between a T radiator and the stock A inlet?

Yes, as far as the angles are concerned. Except I'm running an A radiator that'll be shortened and dropped into the rails. The radiator is going to be modified, as well, so the hose will clear the fan.

Looks like a nice solution. Really goes with the intake.

I ran into the same problem. We leveled out the A radiator outlet which helped. Still need to find a nice hose or make an outlet like the rather nice one pictured above.

So far I haven't needed a fan with the shortened A radiator.

Brent, Just went over the last hand full of pages. Just kept shaking my head on the paint job using Rustoleum, a brush and a roller ! There is a local guy here who sprayed his "A" Coupe with Rustoleum . . . . . It took over six months for the paint to harden up. Guess he used the wrong material to thin the paint.

Your T is just looking great.

  14. Pardon my early Ford ignorance, but do you need an adapter to run this combo, or is the A/B bellhousing bolt pattern the same?

And Brent, I still love this build.

Thanks fellas! Not too much to report on getting the car assembled. I've been working a bunch and taking care of some other stuff. However, I picked up my nickle-plated parts today. Dropped them off Tuesday, picked them up Thursday!

I haven't snapped any photos of the exhaust yet, it's still wrapped in plastic sitting in my truck. I did send some photos out to a couple hot rod buddies, I was just too damn excited! I wanted to share them here, as well.

Wow, this is going to be a high-zoot hot rod. Henry Ford II builds a gow, c. 1931?

Thanks guys... "high-zoot" - I'm not too sure about. :D These parts should keep your eyes off the "questionable" areas. :D

    Not too much...

I'm moving to a larger rental unit. I've got too much stuff in the way in the current one. I've been handling some garage organizational tasks, which turn into projects themselves. Plus, I've been spending time over on GarageJournal.com and, don't ya know, that place has been giving me all sorts of ideas.

Thanks to everyone that's been prodding me and bumping the thread, it's been a good motivation keeper. You guys rule!

Updates are coming soon, I promise!

Motivation? I’ve got your motivation right here:

Ryan, can we get -Brent-‘s Garage Journal account locked until he shows us some progress on his T project?

    ;)

Good luck with the move, Brent, I hope it goes well. I can’t wait to see more progress.

HOW DARE YOU! HAHAHAHA! :D Really, don't do that Ryan. Man, I hope he doesn't look at this thread. I love that site and I don't even own a garage anymore.

I had to recruit a few buddies to help me move all the stuff, and then I'll be on it after work and on the weekends. If I don't keep my word on this... block me from GJ. I swear I can handle both! :D

Rick... no ganging up on me! :D Tonight I worked for 3 straight hours on my axle rack (and work bench) to get all the banjo axles and other long parts off the floor. After Saturday, it's on like Donkey Kong!

Okay, I'm going to look at vises and garage porn now. :D
