REAR SPRING MOUNTS ARE FULLY MOCKED UP AND THE BEAST OF THE VALLEY IS SUPPORTING IT'S OWN WEIGHT FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER!!!!
It's like seeing your child stand for the first time LOL.
    I also started on pedals!

  3. For a speedster that's a lot of heavy iron. What do you think it will weigh when finished? Looks good, I can't even imagine the hours you have in this figuring out what for parts would work well together.

The engine/trans alone is 1200 lbs. I think it's gonna be right around 2500lbs

The car has damn near built itself. I havnt really struggled to find parts they have found me lol. I'm wayyyyyy lucky on this build

    Hi!
    Great project!
I liked the big V12 engine, the chain drive solution and the original front radiator!
    I’ll follow your construction board!

It appears as though it is. Thank you for pointing that out. I think center section can get flipped within the case so it should be an easy fix but i'm glad you caught it now. Thanks homie

If you flip the innards and leave the case alone will there be a fill or drain plug in the wrong place?

@animal8324 as a matter of concern those cinder blocks are worrisome as supports, even 6x6s, 4x4s or 2x4s solidly tied together with no hollow spots in approx 10"x 10" or more to eliminate tipping would be safer...adding the fact this is a weighty beast. I want you to enjoy the fruits of your craftsmanship which is like so many here...darned awesome...thanks for sharing your interesting journey in go fast...;)

There is a very good Thread on homemade stands...I will see if I can find it and post a link...

Update...I did a search and what I was thinking of is called cribbing which seems more a tires on support rather than a jack stand which is actually not what you require. You could still use them under the frame shimmed with additional added wood to suit but good robust jackstands may be the best answer...

Also before you get too locked in, the pinion is usually below center of the axle so that may need attention.

Surprising this is the first real hiccup in this build that may require cutting something apart

At least most anything that would handle a torque number from that engine.

If that's the only OOPS you have it's no big deal. I am still impressed with your design.
