What does everybody look for in a 16 incher... width? Back spacing? lug pattern? etc... I am expanding my wheel company to include 16's ...

I recently bought Early Wheel Company from Pete.. Some of you may know him. He has been at the wheel game for 20 years. He only offered 14's and 15's.. I want to offer the 16's but do not want to stock every width and slow movers... Your help is appreciated.. I am in the process of working out a HAMB disount for my wheel line but need to have all my inventory figured out first... Jason.

The Fords of the 40's-50's ran 16x4/16x4.5 5on5.5 bolt pattern. Most used a .4 offset.

To mount a radial and have a chance of it staying on I have to cut out the centers and use a chevy 16x6 rim to get the top hoop.
If some one is going for the nostalgia look the wheel need to be close to factory, otherwise it's and open ended thing.

Go to the OldCarManual site, there is a MotorWheel Catalog (left side about halfway down) that has wheel info on all American Cars and Light Trucks from the mid 40's into the 60's.

OEM style, 16x4 and 16x4.5, 5on5.5 and 5on4.5 patterns would be great.

I agree with the guys, 40's era correct wheels would be perfect.. no one seems to have the correct offset....

congrats on the new addition jason.

one suggestion on the early wheel, i bought a set from pete a while back for the 51 f1 i drive and the stock wheel covers aren`t compatible, make sure you sell the adapter up front so people know about the hubcap issue.
