Does anyone know if any wheel companies make 16" Artillery wheel? I have called all the wheel makers I'm familiar with and no one makes them in 16"

Been looking for two years. There are some early 30’s Mopar wheels with a 5 on 5-1/2 bolt pattern that are 16” and priced like they’re made of gold.

Why is it called an 'artillary wheel'?
How about the Ford Wide5, is that considered an 'artillary wheel'?

  4. .............I think they descended from early artillery cart wheels. WW2_Photo_of_destroyed_Russian_artillery_and_dead_soldiers_-_Operation_Barbarossa_1941_2_2048x.jpg

I would have to really, really want 85 year old rusty wheels for a car. Maybe it would be safe for a restoration vehicle without a big block, radial tires, etc. but, in my opinion, using them on a hot rod would scare me.

When I was looking for 16" artillery wheels for my '37 Chevy coupe I faced the same problem--none available. The nice folks at The Wheelsmith made me 15" wheels and they are great. It would be hard to tell a mounted 15" wheel from a mounted 16" wheel, I think.
