Hot Rods 153 chevy 2 part search

    Looking for engine intake manifold, water pump, speed equipment for 153 Chevy - II any information would be greatly appreciated. can't find anything in Erie Pa. seems to be obsolete engine. any old stuff
     
  2. You need to research it but I think the water pump is the same as the one on the 6 cylinder of that period.

  4. Think I would just use one off of a 194 six cylinder. I bet finding one designed for the 4 cylinder would be next to impossible.

    If anyone comes across a stock carb off a 194 six cylinder, let me know!

    The stock carb on a 153 had a manual choke.
    I do not think any 194s had that.
     
  8. You are looking for a Rochester 1bbl carb numbers: 7020103, 7020104, 7020114 or 7020115. With and without an automatic choke
    These are pre- 1968 so they would need to have a tag on them for identification.
    ^^P.S: the 6 cylinder single barrel carb uses the same float bowl so as long as the base is the same they will interchange.

    Water pump from a 230 will work fine, the manifold is at little harder but try a forklift repair shop or junkyard the 153 was a popular engine in some Yale? forklifts.
