Recently bought a 36' Ford Sedan that I thought had original wheels until I got it home and realized the wide 5 wheels were 15" instead of 16's, they're hallmarked Kelsey Hayes and dated 1952. Any information on these wheels would be greatly appreciated, rarity? value? Thanks in advance.

  2. Nice job whoever did it. Those rivet indentations look very profesional. Good idea. Does take away the "look" of a widefive though. You can see where the centre was cut.

The wheels you have are easily Id by the flange. These are floatation tire wheels used for off road or soft terrain application. Most common was use on Marmon Harrington 4w drive vehicles. These are desirable wheel as they have a wider shell and can use 15" tires.
