Man. That thing is pretty cool.

I like how it isn't "perfect". I wouldn't call them flaws. But it looks like it was built by hand and like you said, after a couple races or years of driving, it will ooze character.

 

Shit that’s cool! I have one of those air filters laying on my garage floor. Any idea what it’s from?

Makes perfect sense on this side of the Atlantic. This should be eligible for racing in the UK's VSCC events and if he could find period ohv head for it, it may even frighten the odd Bentley 3 litre.

 

I’ve often thought about building something like that for my version of a motorcycle. It wouldn’t take a lot of power to motivate something like that and it’s sort of like a go cart, so it would never get old driving it.

 

It’s industrial. Look at the aftermarket forklift catalogs.

Yeah in my looking around for air filters for my 4 I found a lot of industrial and odd ball stuff.

 

my guess is all those (race sponsorship) stickers indicate it has already driven hard. it's got plenty of character as-is imo.

@ClarkH, your boat tail is a beauty and no doubt about it. The subject of this thread is built in a language I do not speak, and as such, it is not only beautiful but exotic. Thanks to Willem for bringing it to @Ryan's attention and to Ryan for bringing it to ours.

 

I like the AA shell on that. It's an underappreciated part.

 

That pattern was quite common on European cars of the 1930s and on. Here is one on a 3½-litre Bentley:

I want to like it but it's too nice for a TROG car so I'm sort of in the middle on it.
I think I would have liked it better if he had started with something besides a Model A. It's like a waste of perfect hot rod opportunuty.

 

The key in the ignition is very inviting.

 

Great find Ryan thank you and Willems great historical/modern build I can spend as much time looking at it as it took Willems to build it and the 1000 Miglia posted on the dash proves it does get driven I presume some of the roads are still for local animal-drawn equipped . One question I do wonder is the axles lifespan . Only 60 km please . Lol . I bet it's fun riding as mechanic also !
The wrap on the steering wheel may be sheep's wool or a wicking material for keeping a true grip . Dash is really nice layout and the switches make you want to reach out and make it all happen it's like you can see the electricity and power going thru the car and the battery right in front and centered a cool and smart touch .
The sheet metal work it all flows I really dig on it's tongue sticking out lol and then the side rockers are done beautifully and cradles the exhaust header . The first question I have for Willems is , " Did you build this to bring something different to a Euro Meet ? Cause you sure created a lovely eye turner ! "
