  15. I just did a Google Images search on Halibrand 12 spoke. Many photos came up, but this company ad should put all this to rest.
The search tool less than 30 seconds.

  17. Mr Mazooma1..thanks for the pics..What size were they? I put Halibrands on the rear of my "T" back in 1960 but had to order Americans for the front as Halibrand did not offer them then. Are you real sure those are Halibrands? If so, I just learned something new..Thanks

Pretty sure my memory is right. Almost 40 years ago, though.
This is how I bought the car ($15) in '65. Bob Hines put a Mopar/Torqueflite in it...and the wheels, of course. I sure remember them as Halibrands.

Whether they are Halibrands or Americans, whats the difference...both good names...

I used to work for American and was the drag racing wheel manager.
They are American 12 spokes, American made wheels out of their SF plant back then.
Halibrand didn't make 12 spokes that I can ever remember.

Both Halibrand and American are quality products. There seems to be some confusion about that fact.

I dont disagree at all....In fact I would love to own those 12 spoke Americans.

Just not buying from some one who insists they are what they are not....that lead me to be suspicious....I mean if you cant read the writing on your own wheels.

Whos to say those wheels are in front of you....get my drift.

possibily sending pics of wheels that you dont own....

Its pretty hard to argue with a wheel thats stamped "American"...pretty much says it all.

By the way, I've done some memory/soul searching and "12 spoke Americans" rings a bell where "12 spoke Halibrands doesn't..the more I think about it. I was probably wrong. Those wheels on the Anglia must have been Americans. (I know the rears were Halibrands, so that may be my confusion) I learn something everyday.

No, I dont know who he is, but he's been spamming Craigslist in my neck of the woods with his wheels. If you want 12 spokes, you can do way better than that. I've sold em here on the HAMB for $800. Not many guys willing to go without front brakes.
