This past January I went to the Grand National Roadster Show and The Peterson Museum, I saw 2 of the most beautiful cars ever built. I spoke to Lucky, such a great guy at the GNRS, he spoke about the time he spent working on his coupe, years well spent.
It's a great series, done by Piero Deluca. No bullshit, no drama, just elbow grease and design issues for a fantastic racecar. Go to You Tube and watch all 5 episodes. I've wantched them about 6-7 times, so far. Unfortunately, one of our own, JoeTCreep was lost recently and you'll see him in the series. Last episode is great! But, I won't spoil it....
Terrific article Joey, well done! And what a project, what a story, what a car! Home built at its finest. Will try to get to the videos this weekend, looking forward to it.
Thanks for sharing that @J.Ukrop...the love and inspiration of speed machines of vintage past...a perfect fit around here...Great work by all involved....
Wow, I just sat here and binge watched all five episodes without getting out of the chair. Makes me want to figure out how to make it to Bonneville. Those were very enjoyable to watch.
Loved the videos. Next trip to LA I hope to get in a visit to Lucky’s shop. I was amazed he painted the car in the middle of his shop. Brilliant work.
Its a great docu-series.......my son Henry and I were watching them every Tuesday night as they were released. Hopefully we will see the Coupe on the salt in 61 days. Chris
Already watched #6 four times. Piero does such great work. He said he's working on #7 right now. I'm sure he's gonna stretch it out, a week apart. Like he did with the other episodes. Build the anticipation, you know. haha
I made Rashy watch them before we left for Bonneville this year. We got to see the next episode in person on the flats. Watched Worlds Fastest Indian after we got back.
