If you only have one book on traditional hot rodding, this is the one. Period. Nothing else is even close.

I’ll agree it’s the best book. Had a soft cover copy and came across a hard cover one recently for $3. Passed the soft cover one to a friend.

Love that book. I've got the softcover that has a different cover and can still be found a little cheaper.

I have that book as well and it's a treasure especially when you consider how seldom color slides were shot by anyone at the time, much less in the midst of all the action at the dry lakes. If you don't have a copy, find one!

This is the one book I have that I refuse to 'lend'. Great reference material for budding enthusiasts. Must have for any hot rodder.

I'll go one further, if you only have one book, buy two copies.

  16. This is one of my favorites. I think mine still has the $6 or $8 clearance sale tag on it from when I got it in 2003 or 2004...

Bought one on Amazon as soon as this blog post came out. Great book. Never knew of it before although I have seen some of the images on other posts.

Kind of an outside shot but anyone recognize this A roadster? The caption in the book doesn’t list anything and it doesn’t have any numbers to try and trace it back?

just think it’s nice and clean and would like to see more.

  27. Definitely a 28-29 Model A roadster, and a beauty at that.
