  3. A circa 1946 photo of the Del Baxter RPU:

    Andy Linden driving Del Baxter's #20 RPU at 1946 CRA oval-track race.jpg
A young Andy Linden is seen in Del Baxter's number 20 Roadster-Pickup in 1946 at one of the 22 California Roadster
Association oval-track races held that year. By '51 Andy had qualified for his first Indianapolis 500 mile race in 31st
starting spot and finished fourth. Not bad for a rookie and hot rod roadster guy. In ’52 he started in second but dropped
out early for a last place finish. He also made the race from ’53 to ’57 then crashed and retired with serious injuries.

  4. I am a roadster pick up guy. This is one of the ones that influenced my car. Thanks of the feature, Joey.

I read stories such as this and my first thought goes to... "Where is it now?"

  8. Baxter's '29 RPU also appeared on page 79 of the (circa 1951) "Hot Rods TREND BOOK NO. 102":

    Great story and cool RPU!

I love the mild stance and subtle big & littles. No too aggressive, just right for the street.
