Brings back lots of memories. Worked in Chevy’s Saginaw Foundry from 1969 to 1985. Lots of stuff the same from the 30’s and 40’s. Also many improvements. Casting stuff was hard work! Made America what it is today. Glad I was a part of it.
It's good the car companies were selling enough cars to keep the crappy economy limping along. Those plants kept a lot of guys working through those tough years. It's also good the car companies were able to switch over to building needed military equipment a few years later.
