Others ask me if it came off an ambulance............but I love it.:) 43331156_1997474516964716_6096699110235045888_n.jpg

My whole car is a "signature" since you'll never see another one anything like it - for better or for worse - but the most noteworthy individual part is the stretched frame with radiator set back to expose the crossmember and spring clamp. Gives it a very track roadster-ish flavor.

Hugger Orange wheels, one of my favorite colors and have done them on several cars I've built.

To several fellow HAMB folk it's no secret that I woodgrain. Like the barefoot shoe maker though I've never had one of my cars adorned with my work, it was always for clients. I decided this was the one and added an early V8 logo in an inlay style as a focal point for Mrs Highlander. The rest will be my "signature" way of doing things, some of which escapes the most detail focused unless pointed out. In addition to my grain I also added a 40s Dodge bright light/turn signal indicator modified to fit above the gauges. Maybe the little things add up to a long sig...

Not the best photo but the hood always gets comments. Old guys that were there seem to like it, every one else is 50/50. I like it. EEE18C5C-CE87-406D-A9F5-87FDF1076823.jpeg

  23. Mine has got to be my copper pipe upper radiator hose. I can’t stand the flex hoses so I always make my own upper hose. Other than that I try to do different stuff on each build. Hobo Jim

The shoebox will look like almost every other shoebox, low & slow.
She'll look a bit more rugged than most, no shiny paint on this one.

  26. With my sedan I always intended to paint it, last time the all original steel car was painted was around 1963 and the finish is really showing it's age with faded, cracking & chipping paint, the fenders were repaired in 1988, the original running boards with their cracked finish but it does give the car character.

I'm comfortable with the car and it's appearance, I still hear the when are you going to paint it questions?" and the standard answer is " If you pay for it whenever you want."

I have a list of improvements for the sedan next year, insulation, heat & a interior. HRP
