I've been following Rod's work for years, so it's nice to see him doing something that is HAMB friendly.Having had several Porsche 356's in our family, I do think that they dovetail nicely into what we do.

I've burned a lot of time on his instagram page, but hadn't seen the '39. How cool it must be to have your grandfather's and uncle's handiwork is such great condition!

That's a great thing. Would love to see the 39 finished up.

The radiator cap doesn't fall too far from the radiator ;)

That's unfortunate because those little German cars bore me to tears.

  10. In the article the car was a coupe it was later modified into the convertible. Which for me was a great idea as it lends itself to being in the style of the early Valley Customs. I want to say there was an article about the channelling process in HRM in 1955 (ok, the '55 article was about Z-ing the frame looks like the same car) then in '57 R&C did the channel article.

  11. Just an FYI ...

The ‘55 HRM articles were about a ‘40 Ford Coupe being customized by Neil Emory of Valley Custom:
    • May 1955: “Lower The Beam” (with a dropped axle ...)
    • June 1955: “Lower Away” (Z frame alteration ...)
    • July 1955: “Dropped The Limit!” (Rear of the ‘40 Ford is given the full treatment ...)
The December 1957 issue of R&C included an article on channeling:
