Our roadster sits in the shop with the last of the El Mirage dust still coating every surface.
And our push truck still has salt hidden from the flats from last year
The Naysayers are talking doom and gloom for both the dry lake and Bonneville
Race vehicles for sale are popping up all over the web
But for us Land Speed Racing is not a bucket list
We race when and where we can,
Change gathered off my dresser is used for entry fees.
New parts are few, needed parts are traded or lent from other race teams
Speed Ideas are shared and lied about around evenings fire pits while eating burnt hot dogs and burgers
Drivers meeting is just after dawn, so it is a early night

I am a Land Speed Racer
