I agree with your analysis........nice, simple, very functional roadster. Thanks for the post.

There is a clone of this car that was presented to Wally some years back that is on display at the NHRA Museum in Pomona. The simplicity of the car is astounding.

Anyone know why there is a British "Hot Rod" in the picture too? Those are not stock wheels and tires on that MG. Hint: he owned Bell Auto Parts.

Roy Ritcher (sp?) and I think that it had a V8-60 under the hood.

  9. I'm not sure ... but I know that Limeworks did the chassis on the replica Wally Parks Roadster ... Perhaps @Limey Steve will chime in.

The beauty of that A is that it is the right mixture of style and function.By not overdoing it, he outdid himself.

    I am wondering too.
Front cross steer works as pitman up side steer .

  14. It's got a late frontend with spring in front, bet its a later cross steer box.

Imagine the idea of running your street hot rod in a "race class", like B/R. Sounds to me as if that would have been a lot of fun. Too bad that Wally forgot about that as the NHRA classes turned into all out drag vehicles, even in street type classes such as Street Roadster and Gassers, classes that evolved from street vehicles into oblivion...
