13, 14 or 15" or bigger?? (hope not 18 or 20) I think it will have a lowrider look if it is 13 or 14" if with think whitewalls. but it depends on the tires (size of whitewalls.). there is nothing wrong with a lowrider look. I think it also depends on the look of the car. Is it all stock looking (body wise) with 15" and big whitewalls you might even get a nice 'pimp' look
Daytons on cars either make it look like a lowrider or make it look out of place. I've seen Mercs and other non Lowrider cars with Daytons and it just doesn't look right. To each his own...PPersonally i like Old True Spokes(Which are now reproduced) Or Buick Wires on Customs. Mostly because the spokes cross and there is less of them. Straight Laced Daytons with 72 spokes and up are just too lowrider looking for a custom. Maybe Daytons with cross lacing like the old Zenith Knock offs would look okay. What ever spokes you choose make sure the car is low enough to enhance the look. Stance is everything with spokes. No Stink bug, or taildragger, or stock heigth suspension
exactly... but im biased... :0) ... redone by mclean jr ps - remember the offset will have to be sort of odd.. galaxies are special that way
depends on the total look of the car if you see my 64 im putting supremes on there if i was to put wires it would take it over to lowrider im trying to walk the line of kustom and lowrider
I had them on my 68 Galaxy convertible and it definately fit-in with the lowrider crowd... I just wondered about the 64
I think these wheels actually work with a full fendered car but even then it's more streetrodder than traditional kustom. I'm all in favor of thinking outside the box but I think on your ride it'll be labeled a Lowrider more so than a Kustom.
100 spokes around here are considered very lame. My buddy finally ditched his and put some steelies and hubcaps back on his 64, it looked so much better. Guess it does depend on the zip code, I dont live in L.A.
