So today marks a decade since I joined the HAMB, I was member number 2572. I have been on here since I was 21, hard to believe. Most things Hot Rod related that I have experienced in the last decade has happened largely due to being a member of the HAMB, also much of what I have learnt has been because of the HAMB. So as a thank you I am posting these photos plus I will start 1 or 2 other threads of material I have held off posting. So now to the photos, at the end of last year a bunch of slides were listed on ebay, I narrowly missed photos of Johnny Zaro '41 Ford convert, Marcia Campbell's A RPU and Kenny Smith AV8. Rikster did research and found them to be doubles from the Walter Wyss collection (A Swiss automotive designer that spent the 1940s and 50s in the US). The following 14 are what I was able to purchase, they range from 1950-'54, enjoy. Johnny Parsons' '50 Indy 500 winner, note damage to the chin of track nose. The Motorcycle in the middle I believe is Chet Herbert's 'Beast' and the airplane is from the cover of June 1951 Hot Rod magazine Ab Jenkins Mormon Meteor III LeRoy Titus roadster (formerly Jim 'Jazzy' Nelson roadster) Don Rackemann 1932 3w Howard Johansen's twin tank streamliner Bob Sorrell sports car Kenz-Leslie streamliner Chet Herbert's Beast 4 Eddie Miller Jnr. lakester Fred Larsen AV8 (formerly Jim Travers roadster) I have yet to id this T roadster Don Ferrara AV8 engine bay This maybe the engine bay of the Macchia/Banto T roadster.
