  3. Great show everyone !! I love this stuff...
Here is something I must say was inspired from the work of two of my heros - Dr. Nowell and Jeff Allison... Thanks to all for doing what you do...

    C. Smith,
First off, welcome to the community. Second, it's very cool to see the art and artist here on the board that I remember from my high school days. If I recall correctly, you illustrated a concept Pike's Peak rear-steer roadster in Hot Rod back then. I did my best to duplicate it for pen & ink assignment in my art class.

I don't recall the Pike's Peak "gig", but I did do a few ass-backwards designs for HRM, back in the 80's. Thanks for remembering. -CS-

Folks, before I post, I want to take a moment to say that this has got to be some of the greatest talent in the country. Every week, I see something and figure no one will ever top that and the next week, sure enough, someone does. Being able to start from scratch and create images such as these is just awesome. And then there's Corvette Bob who manages to post before me each week and makes me ashamed to put my images online. :) Great work guys and as someone else said, this has become part of my 'Friday routine.'

    Here's my meager offerings:

    Better late than never!
So much great stuff this week I feel fortunate to actually have something to post. Off topic so sorry.
New Fu Manchu 7" cover coming out this month and a couple of the 40 of so shirt designs I did while at West Coast are finally in Walmart. These are kids tees for his workwear line. Please ignore the fact that the shirts only use fonts instead of hand drawn lettering. I only had a week to do 8 designs. I'll have more stuff next week more on topic.

Hinson, I appreciate your comments .....you have no reason to be ashamed to post. These are both very cool images. I don't think most of the guys here get behind photos as much as the hand drawn stuff, but I feel there is room for all of it. Too many are worried about if it's HAMB worthy ... this is an art show and it it has to do with hot rods or customs, it's all good.

I look forward to your new work each week ......

    Wrong and even more wrong.

We have a VERY long tradition of photos and Super ACE shooters here....We need them and LOVE THEM.
I suggest you peruse the HAMB Calender call for entries.... pretty heady stuff.
As for "too many are worried if it's Hamb worthy".... that's what this site is all about.... and to be honest.... the art part is a side salad here.
Were very lucky to have it.

    Please...let's keep it HAMB material....

  23. I see our Admin. has already commented on this so I'll be brief.
Comments like this are unnecessary and have been made far too often.
You don't have to search too far back to see that this subject has been debated to death.

We love photography, especially when it's unique, artistic, on topic and culture related. That is why you, Bob, post your stuff, to share with the community, right? Not for the praise and accolades...

    Back to the show...

Nice Work, those models are very rare. I am from Lockport up near Niagara Falls, right on the Erie canal. Miss the summers at Watkins Glenn, but not the winters.

  29. Thank you Neal. Thank you Glenn. I've posted it before but don't think I've ever
gotten feedback. That makes me appreciate your "accolades" all the more.

(with respect to 57 Corvette Bob. I liked your stuff this week too Bob.)

Neal that li'l yeller coupe is coming along nicely.
