  1. OK, lets roll out those mess-ter-pieces hokes...

New 'T'. Modified version (my version) of Kev's Bucket drawn last Sunday. Original car is red, has more even tyre width ratios, carbed Cleveland Ford I think, turtledeck, tall top, safety stuff. It's drawn here kinda '70's, sorry.

This was a 4 colour T shirt piece. It was neat. Apologies for butchered B&W version here.

Lake Gairdner 2014. Norm Hardinge's roadster painted on-site in acrylic on canvas 12x16". over 100 degrees, hot & evaporative environment- not easy work.
DLRA '22 is on in February.

  14. OK here's another rendering of one of my concepts that I think would make a really cool custom ride. I wouldn't mind having the real thing sitting in my garage but unfortunately my imagination is at odds with my bank account and my back yard fabrication ability. :D

Good morning everyone! I drew this C1 Corvette this week for the purpose of making cardstock prints to sell at shows this summer. A lot of people ask, "Hey do you have any Corvettes?" but aren't necessarily ready to spend $100 on an original. This $10 print should be a good alternative, I think...

The realm of pen and ink artwork, in this day and age of high tech computer compositing, and a ton of other high tech avenues of choice, is almost a lost art in my opinion.

While I usually offer up weekly contributions of automotive related material via my photography, I figured that this week, I would post some of my older pen and ink drawings from slides I have shot and projected onto paper to draw with pencil first and then go back to ink in the lines, a tedious process I assure you.

While the majority of my pen and ink drawings, were mostly aviation related, which turned into camera ready artwork to be turned into T-Shirt designs, I cant really post them here to be able to not break the rules of the H.A.M.B. and to respect the FAS as well. But I thought I would post a few of my older drawings to show the detail than can be obtained via traditional pen and ink.

Have a great weekend, to all that contribute to this great weekly show of amazing artistic talent and imagination as it relates to the world of HOODLUMS, HOT RODS, and all things of a mechanical nature.
    Thanks from Dennis.

    Hello,

Before the famous Flathead powered Hill Acala Red T Roadster was the competitor in all local So Cal drag race events. There was a personal 1934 Ford Coupe in the family.
    upload_2022-1-14_7-9-17.png old Friday Art
There was a 1934 Ford 3 window coupe that was modified to race, too. The 34 Coupe could have been in a street legal class or in a Modified Coupe or Altered Coupe Class. The street modification rules would have allowed the coupe to race in the class of choice.

For those that can’t see any old 34 Ford Coupe without a chopped top…

At the last contact, it was a street coupe and the color was a blue paint version. But, being in the same family as the famous red roadster, a bright Red version just hit the 2021 style, including wide whites, beauty trim rings and a small center hubcap for originality of a cool So Cal coupe.

Today, it would fit into the classification of a HAMB friendly traditional coupe.
