Somebody stole 2 SU Sloper Carburetors with Manifold and Linkage from the Central Texas Musuem of Automotive History in Rosanky, TX.

The reward will be given WITH NO QUESTIONS ASKED, we really just need the parts back.

The parts are for a 1925 Bentley. We believe they were taken sometime last summer.

Please call Ray at 512-757-8899 or Thom at 512-878-2406.

Here is a picture of what they look like.

How the hell does someone go into a musuem and have tools and time to wrench off a set up like this?

The carbs were in the shop area, the Bentley has been a very long project.

Not likely, we had only 1 mechanic at the time and he's the one that spent a few years trying to find the things in the first place.

i'll keep an eye out here in austin. that's ridiculous. if i happen to find them i would gladly return them. and you can keep the money, the only thing i would take from you would be band-aids for my knuckles after i beat the asshole that took them. if whomever took them doesn't in fact know what they have, they won't be able to use them and they will end up on craigslist. -DVZ

    GOOD NEWS!

We greatly appreciate all the interest but we have located the parts. They were accidentally placed in a box for storage when the shop was relocated to San Marcos.

Thank you again to all the HAMBers and their support.

I was going to ask if you looked in that dust covered box on top of the pop machine.
I had a mechanic that spent hours looking for some missing pieces in the shop that were found in his garage.

Good to hear that the parts were only misplaced. I'd hate the job of finding a set of those ancient SUs, not to mention all the small linkage and bits.

I'm glad it was just misplaced.HRP

  24. While someone maybe feeling a little sheepish about misplacing parts.....I bet they are much more relieved to have them back....:D
