❓Replacement Of '00' 350 Vortec W/ '82' 283❓

Just joined and would welcome any & all expert opinions on a project I am about to embark on if I get the green light from Y'All. New to forums also.

❓ Can I replace a '00' 350 vortec in a 3500 Express Van with a rebuilt '82' 283 without changing ALL connected equipment? (ie exhaust, trany, wiring harness, driveshaft, etc.) I've been out of the game for quite a few years. My buddy is the mechanic but he's never dealt with a 1 ton van.
