The transmission is a ‘40 Ford. I made my own mount and sector for the parking brake lever, but it comes too close to the dash. The lever is 18” long from pivot to button top. Does anyone know if the lever is too long or my mount is sitting up too high.

I don’t have the cable hooked up yet so maybe it doesn’t go that far forward under the dash? Oh, I also raised the motor/trans about 3/4”

Here is what I have. Thanks for looking, Tony

That's not a '32 lever, so maybe it's longer than a stock one. They don't have a kink in them like yours does.

  3. Looks fine to me. Adjust it tight. To far forward makes it hard to reach. My opinion

  4. Thanks guys. If it’s not a ‘32 lever then maybe it’s longer than the correct ‘32 part

our 3W has a T5 ,no idea what the brake lever is off as we built this car with parts we already had.
The 32 pickup,i presume has the original lever , but we added the added the home made extension. And an original extension off something.the extension sure makes it easier to reach the lever when it is tucked under the dash.
Can you move the lever back to the rear of the transmission or is it too close to the crossmember?
