Well, thanx for using my Cadillac in your illustration...but I prefer my Cadillac unchopped. You've got a unique perspective on automobiles, I appreciate you using my car as art.

Here's a couple more shots of it...my contirbution to the art show (and it is art), both the car AND the model...

I know it's not in the same league as most of the stuff here, but here's my fish. I call him Sushi. I made it a few years ago while recovering from heart surgery. Docs didn't want me to do anything hard, but I was missing my "shop therapy" and had to build something. I made the body from some of the fresh air ductwork from a 57 Chevy. My friend Steve Welsh painted it and surprised me with the flame job last night at set-up for the Sacramento Autorama. I'm using it as a prop in the display of my 51 Ford wagon.

  14. hupster, love the fish but how about showing us the woodie. It looks great in the background.

Not my own work, but I had a comic book artist in the UK do an image of my car along with one of his characters, Vesha Valentine:

I was very pleased with it!

Here's an intense (and artsy) Valentine's moment caught by the camera of Alex Tremulis in 1965: Bobby Tatroe, surrounded by well-wishers, in what has got to be the loneliest seat in the house. Walt Arfons looks on in the background moments before lighting the fuse of the Wingfoot Express II...

  21. Spoggie… Amazing work mate! Love the Holden but the water corol technique is brilliant.

    Pharouh… Cool '57, nice mods

    Unkl Ian… Nice eye!

Ruben Duran... Thank you! ( masterful work a long time in coming )

    demonss... nice work.

57 Corvette ~ Bob... very nice! that's your wife, right?

    spent... Beautiful lines man!

Clysdale (David)… Off the hook sir. The Chief left me nearly speechless.

Frogz… Kool Kaddy! the doge is nice too.

Steve V… some of your most impressive work Steve, love it!!!

Dutch Courage… Ger you is da MAN! all your stuff this week is too good for words.
I love the simple color palettes and less is more approach.

N.Ozols… BIGGER!, BIGGER!! Very, very nice work but ya gotta give us a god look.

custom_lettering… Thanks for sharing this great work

tonyimpala… I love this stuff! (any info on the Corvair?)

    Wild Willy… Neet-O!

DAN G!… Cool stuff bud, I love that Ford pick-up at the end of the post. The actual truck as well as your very subtle tweaks. Definitely my favorite.

    rusty1… Love your sketches.

JohnnyJ… nice modifications to the U.T. done with great 'authority'.

    Jen - - - stuff - - - post stuff - - - no rest for the weary.

    ynottayblock… Looks great. nice sketches

40StudeDude… The Caddy is a work of art all on it's own. Love the Iris Mist (heather) color!

ShortBus… That '50 is beautiful only made more so by your lighting and perfect (atmospheric) timing. I had a good bead on a Fleetline coupe years back and this is the color I wanted to go with on it but with a pearl added. Cool to see what could have been.

I could keep going as everyone is rocking the place but I need to work. Thanks all whom I missed!

Thanx Jigger for the compliment on the Caddy...but I must correct you. The color is NOT Iris Mist...it's PPG mixed to a DuPont color called "A Little Lilac," but I had them add a lot more pearl...I call it "Lollipop Lavendar."

And if you didn't notice the Caddy is two-toned, the top is painted a STOCK 1955 Ford color named Regency Purple.

Hey thanks everyone! Stoked to see all the killer work...now lets see more!

  26. This piece has been getting some attention lately and I noticed a HAMB member, FAS contributor, recently found a cream-puff Fawn Gold '62 Skylark sedan so this is for her...

  27. I figured it was your own concoction, I was just digging up the best GM reference I could find for what it reminded me of. They called it Lilac at some point too but it is different then your car's hue. No matter, it all works great and is appropriately suited to a big Caddy!
