About that troublesome sheetmetal. I had the front end on and off at least three times. I had my best luck bolting the whole thing together on...
The wheels are actually 15" from Wheel Vintiques on the late Ford bolt pattern. It gives the car a nostalgia look. The front turn signal lights...
This project has been a long time in progress. To take a lumpy old car and turn it into a nice driver has it's challenges, I love it! The car...
This is where I started, to get that yellow Sport Coupe. Pretty ugly! A challenge is just an opportunity to hone your skills.[ATTACH] [ATTACH]
Here is a Sport Coupe I built several years ago. Not many around that haven't been cut up to try and be something it's not. It's a unique body...
I thought the pic's of your car looked familiar! I've got your radiator. Got to keep those 36's alive!
I'm 67 and building a '36 hump back. I like it all! There isn't much on the car I won't try to do, but I do recognize when I need tools I don't...
Hey 2dr_sedan, nice write up. Wish I had all this info in one place when I was looking. I used the explorer unit in mine. Just narrowed it to...
I did a '30 Sport Coupe years back, loved that car. I think they are very cool and mine made a fine rod. I made all the wood pieces from a rough...
I remember sitting in the theater watching the movie with my wife and I told her that we could have been there during the filming. They used some...
Street Rodder used a J B Donaldson body for the road tour car about 3 or 4 years ago. They put out a book too, featuring the Donaldson body on a...
Here is the EMS cowl patch ready to go.
I have to give a nod to Direct Sheetmetal for their floor pans and firewalls. I used them on my '36 sedan. All is well.
I've used EMS panels to replace the lower cowl, tailpan, lower rear fenders, and the entire bottom of one door, inside and out, on my '36. they...
This is where it all started... Then it came apart!
Welcome from the left coast. How far along are, and what are your goals for the car? I have a fordor.
Check your width again. '36 rear ends are more like 57"axle face to axle face. I used a rear end from a Ford Explorer and cut down the long side...
[ATTACH] [ATTACH]This is an EMS tailpan being installed. Good fit!
I'm working on a 4 door humpy. Think it will be pretty nice when all is said and done.
I need a little help. I want to replace the rear seat in my sedan with something that has newer style springs (not coils). I'm sure somebody has...
It sounds like you're trying to flash the taillight element and not the brake light element. The brake light wire should go from the brake switch...
What a great car! I've been working on my 36 Fordor for three years now and still a long way from finished. I'd give my left lug nut to find one...
Just to reiterate what has been suggested. You do want a master cylinder that has the proper bore for discs all around. Are you going to narrow...
66 coming up next month and right in the middle of building my 36 sedan. Tore this thing right down to "parade rest" and started over. Loving...
I used patch panels by EMS for the bottom front section. I had to do some slicing and dicing though. They came out ok.

I did the cut too. Two short side axles! Clean and cheap. Fits nice under the sedan.
I used the 8.8 Explorer in my 36 sedan. I just took the Ford flange, from the Explorer driveshaft, and the GM input shaft to a driveline company....
It just took myself and one other guy to roll it over. I lifted the side and my buddy kept it setting down hard. It went pretty smooth.
I needed to get to the floor pan to spray it, so I made this out of stuff I had laying around. It did the job. I going to use epoxy primer, then...
