Your tig will spit and pop and have porosity. You need to weld with a high nickle rod or braze the manifolds.
Use a buddy with a pry bar stuck in the ring gear to keep the engine from turning..... its only the wrong way if it doesn't work

Try adding an extra quart of oil to it. If the pressure picks up chances are your pickup has fallen off.
I'm pretty sure the filling station and chevs of the40s has them.

Thats what I'm thinking- just the pump working. Ecklers and others have the correct hoses for the pump if yours are missing

Do you have the voltage feedback wire from the solenoid to the coil? Sounds like your starter is taking all your power you need for te coil
Did you have the same problem prior to installing the regulator? If not give it some more pressure.
Both of the trannys are side shift,right. Why not swap the linkage and shifter over to the 46?
