mine didn't look ANYTHING list that. basically washed the heads with mineral spirits and good to go.
changed mine to PVC system
I used a shop vac to remove any loose junk in the valley and the same while cleaning block deck and pistons
start-up 50 #, on the road 40-45#, idling hot 25-30#
So I removed the intake and heads('60 292) to do some cleaning and to check out the valves. also replaced both rocker arm shafts and 3 rockers...
don't see a road draft tube. looks like maybe a PCV set-up. wouldn't that move it up towards '60?
on our '60 with y-block , I lift it up towards the exh. manifold, end opposite the drive end first, swing it towards the bell and stick in place....
mine leaked at the front seal. numerous seals and ended up with a worn front pump bushing
get some modelling clay, put a gob where ever and shut the hood. that will tell how much clearance

I have a 292/ford 2100 2 brl on my '60. It has port, I used for PCV, in the front of the base of the carb.
It's usually striped in a chrome shop. It can be removed with abrasives but chrome is HARD

we used speedway front disc conversion on our '41 ford. Mopar disc and GM mid size calipers. It did off set the wheels about 1.5" to the outside...
also check for wear on the bearing retainer that T/O bearing slides on. They get worn and T/O brg can get hung up.
That's exactly what I used to make a ground around our steering u-joint. Found some small(1/4") braided ground strap. Was on the car for 20 yrs.
