The Shelby American Facility is only about 45 minutes from Hoover Dam. We did the tour last year and really enjoyed it.
Look for the cruising crowd to start shifting away from S. Congress. It's a great area but is getting overrun by gawkers in dailies and off topic...

The mid 60's Chevy Trucks were a 4 link and coil design. They seemed to do OK. :) As stated above quality parts and quality work will be just fine.
