You could pull the valve cover and see if the rockers are moving while it's cranking. It would also be a good time to adjust the valves.

Most tire shops won't even touch those things with the tire still on. Your best bet is to peel the temp tire off before you have the new tires...

You can get rid of that discoloration by using a stainless brush on it whils it's still hot.

You could make coolant catch cans, cut them down to make tach mounting cups, exhuast tips, or scrap them if they are aluminium for some beer/parts...
