Definitely thought about just buying a new blower, probably will for another project in the near future but I love the challenge of rebuilding...
Oh don’t worry this isn’t my first shot at doing stuff with blowers! This is just what I’m thinking for my next personal engine build, torn...
A little bit of both! It's a detroit style blower off an old 8v71 what I'm currently converting to run on gas and not shatter into a million...
oh yeah both would be fairly easy to get, only thing with the ford is I'd have to run a tunnel ram to clear the distributor
We’re talking engines here, I’m puttin the blower on my truck cause I like my truck
I salute you, have no idea how I didn’t think of this before ♂️
Yeah a stock block would run the risk of turning into cereal, I’d definitely have to do a ton of prep with a lot of filler
Acquired a nice 8-71 blower a while back and been itching to put it on something. Got two main options in mind right now, both involving my 351w...
Shifter linkages for a toploader 3 speed, originally out of a 67 mustang I believe. Fabbed up some new ones so don’t need em anymore, up for grabs...
Ohhh that makes more sense, I meant more the fact that me being in the Bay Area doesn’t help cause we have a severe lack of good junkyards
Man that’s sweet! I got like half a design in mind right now, just gotta wait till I can afford the aluminum
Man I’ll have to look, I’m from the California Bay Area so that definitely doesn’t help
I’m 17 working on making a semi-traditional 46’ flatbed
Yeah I’m stuck between a flatbed, or shortening it two feet and making my own regular style bed That thread has a ton of great inspiration btw!
Finished up most of my chassis based modifications, need some opinions on what I should do before dropping in the drivetrain. I’m a huge fan of...
[ATTACH] Found this one in a junkyard, needs to be saved!
Who needs efficiency, as long as it makes at least 5 pounds of boost I’d deem it a screaming success XD
I’ll take a look into it, was thinking of welding a flange to the back and fitting a carb mount at a 90 degree angle to the back of it
Yeah a ton of work but I’ve definitely done dumber
I was thinking about that but I got enough spare parts lying around I wouldn’t have to spend much more than $200
Yeah that’s why I’m thinking two instead of one. Cause if one is just enough for a 3.8L, two should be more than enough for a 5.8
yeah only issue with using one is it would act more like a fancy restrictor plate since it was made for a 3.8L
Need some opinions on an idea I had, saw some guy twin supercharge a big block Chevy with two Eaton m90s off some junkyard pontiac grand prix’s,...
Yeah all my friends are into Honda’s and crap, this place is a life saver for advice on old v8s [emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B....
Oh sweet so I should just be good to check if its out of round, clean em up a little and slap em back in? The bolts look pretty good, nothing...
Doing a cheap cheap rebuild since I’m 17 and on a budget, was wondering if the big end of the connecting rods need to be honed, or are just new...
Comes with crank, cam, six pistons and rods, two heads, and an oil pan with a dent in it. As far as I can tell everything’s fine other than two...
