I did replace the glass setting tape with what appeared to be the same thickness as OEM and it was a good tight fit. Then I trimmed off the excess...
I haven't touched the driver's side yet. That one wasn't cracked. The gap is very even from top to bottom. You can see in this pic how well the...
I just replaced some broken windows on my newly acquired 1950 F1. Before I removed the cracked vent window, I noticed that it almost overlapped...
I listened to the suggestions and decided to build my own jig after 4 of the local garages refused to help. I guess they don't want the...
I made a little jig for straightening the steering shaft. To my amazement, it actually worked! The shaft is mounted in some eye bolts that allow...
I'm pretty disappointed with myself, but I'll give it another shot. I'll try and straighten out the shaft before I drop $200 + shipping on a new one
My attempt at pressing the new worm gear onto the steering shaft was not successful. I bent the steering shaft! I went to 5 different shops and...
I certainly agree that the drop blocks are not the most elegant solution. The dropped tie rod ends just don't have enough drop in them though

I've enlisted the help of an able-bodied friend who is willing to help me heat and bend the steering arm. We'll take it from there.
All good input. I actually have some reverse eyed springs that came with the truck when I bought it. I wonder if I should reinstate them. The...
Yes, the tie rod drop blocks are kind of hokey in my opinion, but they drop it by 2", whereas the dropped tie rod ends only drop it by 1.5"
That's funny!
Thank you for the input! Sid said the drag link angle was no good either. I think that's why the previous owner installed the steering stabilizer,...
Thank you! I did send a couple of emails to Sid. Maybe a phone call is better. The guy who sold me the truck is adamant that the setup is correct...
I recently bought a 1960 F100 with 3" Nostalgia Sid's dropped front axle and 2" drop blocks for the tie rod. It has Western Chassis lowering leaf...
Thanks Don! This is the latest addition to my collection: 1960 F100 with 5.4L engine swap. I never really had a hot rod before, just stock trucks...
